Popular Japanese rock band Hitsujibungaku is finally coming to the Philippines as part of the band’s continuing Asia Tour for 2024.

The new dates were announced via the band’s official website and social media accounts. There, it was confirmed that the band will perform in the Philippines on July 6, 2024.

For the Philippine performance, Manila-based organizers The Rest Is Noise PH and Gabi Na Naman Productions are taking the lead in bringing the band to the country for their first PH concert.

Aside from the Philippines, the band will also make stops in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Hong Kong. Previously, Hitsujibungaku’s Asian tour featured performances in Seoul, Bangkok, Taipei, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Hitsujibungaku is a Japanese rock band that was founded in 2011, though the band gained renown in 2018 with the release of their first album “若者たちへ” (To the youth). Since then, the band has released three more albums, and they’ve also been tapped to perform songs in anime.

Perhaps their most popular song is more than words, the second ending theme of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Aside from this popular shonen anime, Hitsujibungaku also performed the opening song “Hikaru Toki” (When the Light Shines) for the 2021 anime The Heike Story.

For now, there’s no word yet on where the Hitsujibungaku Philippines concert will happen. Expect more details about its venue and ticket prices to be revealed in the coming weeks or months leading up to July 6.
