Lenovo unveils new ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 powered by AMD Ryzen PRO

Lenovo's latest ThinkPad features built-in AI capabilities.

After launching a bevy of laptops back in CES, Lenovo recently revealed the ThinkPad P14s Gen 5, the brand’s latest laptop that is powered by an AMD Ryzen PRO and packs built-in AI features.

This new laptop from Lenovo promises to deliver great performance for creatives and power users looking for a beefy mobile workstation. This is thanks to the P14s Gen 5’s AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 HS-Series processor that comes with an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for optimized performance for AI workflows. As with most of today’s new laptops, it also comes with a bunch of built-in AI features.

Complementing the processor is up to 96GB DDR5 and up to 2TB PCIe 4×4 Performance SSD. For connectivity, it also comes with Wi-Fi 6E and optional 5G WWAN. The laptop also runs on Windows 11 Pro, though it is also qualified for various Linux-based operating systems.

On the display side, this laptop has various display options such as touch or non-touch screens. For the higher-end configuration, the laptop can pack up to an 8K OLED screen with low blue light and X-Rite factory color calibration.

Finally, the laptop has a 3Whr battery though there’s also a customer replaceable (CRU) 52.5Whr battery for longer use while on-the-go.

In the Philippines, the Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 AMD will be available on order basis, with an expected starting price of PHP 82,000.
