Suicide Squad Isekai premieres on HBO GO this June

Yes, this new Suicide Squad anime will transport Harley Quinn and the other squad members to a fantasy world.

After its announcement late last year, the Suicide Squad Isekai anime is officially premiering on HBO GO this June.

Yes, you read that right, DC’s iconic antihero group has an anime coming up, and it will be an isekai. This means you’ll see Harley Quinn, Peacemaker, and the other Suicide Squad members get transported into a fantasy world.

If this unique premise is right up your alley, then you should watch the show when it premieres on June 27 on HBO GO in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines. Aside from its premiere, it was also confirmed that the anime will be 10 episodes long.

DC confirmed that in the US, the show will be streamed on Hulu and MAX, with the first three episodes premiering on the same day. Chances are that episodes 1-3 will also be available on HBO GO in SEA on June 27.

The anime’s premise is described as:

“In Suicide Squad ISEKAI, Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., has assembled a group of notorious criminals — Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark — for a mission. These Super-Villains are sent into an otherworldly realm, ISEKAI, that’s connected to this world through a mystical portal, leading them into a land of swords and magic where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies.

With lethal explosives planted in their necks, there’s no running or hiding, and failing the mission means a one-way ticket to the afterlife. Can Harley Quinn and her crew conquer this perilous ISEKAI? Brace yourselves for the pulse-pounding saga of the elite task force known as the “Suicide Squad” as they embark on a jaw-dropping adventure!”

Don’t miss Suicide Squad Isekai when it premieres on the 27th on HBO GO.
