Love and Deespace’s Rafayel took over the Philippines during his birthday
Now that's dedication to a husbando!

Love and Deepspace fans showed just how dedicated they are with special projects that took over the Philippines during the birthday of Rafayel.
For those unfamiliar, Rafayel is a character in the hugely popular otome game Love and Deepspace. On March 6, Rafayel celebrated his birthday, and to mark the occasion, fans across the world worked together for various events and displays. These include fans from New York, Paris, London, Singapore, Bangkok, and many more. In particular, Chinese fans celebrated in epic fashion by taking over malls, parks, hotels, and other major locations.
Not to be outdone, Filipino fans also celebrated Rafayel’s birthday in epic fashion by renting big screens along EDSA, Mckinlehy Hills, Mall of Asia, and Cebu.
Here’s a look at the digital billboard we spotted along EDSA during March 6:
To go along with the digital screen takeovers, Rafayel fans in the Philippines also organized various fan gatherings. To be exact, there were over ten fan gatherings across the country to mark the occasion.
On top of these, fans also went above and beyond as they donated to various special causes inspired from Rafayel himself. These causes include donations to marine conservation and research, as well as coral reef preservation organizations.
This is not the first time such a takeover happened. After all, there was a similar Tears of Themis fan project a few years back, though there’s no doubt that Love and Deepspace fans have taken things to the next level.
Thus, we won’t be surprised to see similar celebrations happen for the birthdays of other characters from the game.
Love and Deepspace is available now on Android and iOS.
