Following the reveal of the A56 and A36, Samsung launched its affordable new Galaxy A06 5G smartphone in the Philippines.
The Galaxy A06 5G is a new entry-level phone from Samsung that promises to be a reliable daily partner, all while having a price tag that’s well below PHP 10k.
Specifically, this phone is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 6300 paired with 4GB of RAM. It also has a large 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. As for its battery, it has a fairly large 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. Plus, it has an IP54 dust and water resistance rating.
For photography, the A06 5G features a 50MP main shooter with a 2MP depth sensor. Then, at the front is an 8MP wide selfie camera.
Perhaps the most interesting thing about the A06 5G is the fact that Samsung promises that it will receive four generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with four years of security udpates. Typically, this number of guaranteed updates is reserved for mid-range and flagship phones, so it’s great to see that Samsung is expanding its update support even to entry-level models.
