Samsung Philippines recently unveiled its newest gaming monitor models, including the Odyssey 3D, G8, and G9.
While the last big Samsung monitor launch happened not even a year ago, Samsung has a range of new monitors for the PH market, all of which are part of its Odyssey gamning lineup.
First up is the 27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF model). As its name implies, this 27-inch display delivers a glasses-free 3D experience. Because 3D is the unique feature of this display, Samsung has teamed up with various developers like Nexon and Neowiz to ensure seamless 3D optimization for games such as The First Berserker: Khazan and Lies of P.
The monitor also features 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms Gray-to-Gray (GtG) response time, along with AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility. This means even without factoring in the 3D feature, it should be a good gaming partner.
Next up is the Odyssey OLED G8, a gaming display that’s available in 27” and 32″ variants. All versions of the G8 feature a 4K resolution, with the 27″ G8 in particular being a highlight as it’s the first 4K resolution monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate.
Other features of the G8 include VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400, along with Cooling Safety and Samsung OLED Safeguard+ to prevent burn-in (a problem for many OLED screens).
Rounding out the new monitor lineup is the Odyssey G9, a massive 49” Dual QHD curved display that’s made for maximum immersion. More than just size though, it also promises to be a great gaming partner thanks to its HDR10+ GAMING supports, 144Hz refresh rate, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
In the Philippines, the new Samsung Odyssey Monitors are available for pre-order now until April 19, with early bird customers getting up to PHP 27,600 off the 32” Odyssey OLED G8, PHP 19,800 off on the 49” Odyssey G9, and PHP 45,850 off on the 27” Odyssey 3D. As a bonus, each purchase during the pre-order period will also come with PHP 3,000 worth of e-vouchers.
