It has been nearly half a year since the Dragon Quest III Remake was released, and now, fans can look forward to Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake as it has finally got an October release date.
The game’s release date was confirmed via the Dragon Quest official X (formerly Twitter) account. There, it was revealed that the Dragon Quest I & II remake will be released on PC and consoles on October 30.
For its console release, the game won’t be limited to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. That’s because Square Enix also confirmed via the announcement that the game will also launch on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. This makes sense considering that the Switch 2 will launch in the US, Japan, and other select regions in June.

In case you missed it, the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is a modern version of the first two games in the iconic JRPG franchise. As is the case with the DQ3 Remake, this package will feature the first and second Dragon Quest games transformed into a more modern experience, with gameplay and visuals similar to Square Enix’s Ocotopath Traveler.
