The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra just shattered the record for fastest electric executive vehicle at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. This feat saw the brand’s electric vehicle completing a lap in just 7:04.957 minutes on the German circuit. The Chinese tech giant announced the historic achievement on June 11th, marking a significant milestone in high-performance electric vehicle development. Yet another accomplishment for the electric sports car.
The production model Xiaomi SU7 Ultra conquered the demanding 12.9-mile circuit on its first attempt, equipped with an optional track package. The achievement demonstrates Xiaomi’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle performance through what the company calls its “three core electric technologies” – encompassing the electric motor, power battery, and motor control unit.

At the heart of the SU7 Ultra’s record-breaking performance lies its tri-motor configuration featuring two V8s and one V6s e-motors, delivering a combined maximum power output of 1,548 PS. This impressive powertrain enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in as little as 1.98 seconds and achieve a top speed exceeding 350 km/h. The production model maintains the identical motor setup used in the prototype version, ensuring track-proven performance reaches consumer hands.
Beyond raw power, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra incorporates advanced chassis torque-vectoring control and sophisticated aerodynamic design elements that contributed to its record-setting lap time. These engineering solutions were specifically developed to handle the sustained high-speed, high-temperature conditions that push electric powertrains to their absolute limits on the racetrack.
Xiaomi has deepened its relationship with the Nürburgring through a premium partnership that includes naming rights to a new “Xiaomi Curve” on the Grand Prix track. The company has also joined the circuit’s Industry Pool for test and development drives, positioning itself to use the legendary track as a proving ground for future electric vehicle innovations.
