OPPO announces global winners of the 2025 Photography Awards

OPPO's got a spectacular lineup for the Photography Awards 2025!

OPPO just announced the global winners of its 2025 Photography Awards, attracting nearly 2 million submissions from 87 countries. In its largest edition to date, a plethora of beautiful works of art were unveiled ahead of a global finale showcase in Cairo, Egypt on December 18.

“Mobile photography is more than a tool—it has become a global stage for creative voices,” said Ling Liu, OPPO Overseas CMO. “Through the OPPO Photography Awards, we aim to support creators, let their perspectives be seen worldwide, and inspire audiences to discover the extraordinary in everyday life—the true essence of ‘Super Every Moment.’”

The Gold Award went to boooya for “Dialect — The Fading Voice,” a visual project documenting the endangered state of dialect culture through mobile photography. The series captures traditional opera performances and generational linguistic divides, with judges praising its conceptual clarity and social significance. One juror noted that language disappearance represents cultural loss. The prize includes USD 25,000 and OPPO’s latest flagship devices.

Silver Award recipient Ray Cheung from China earned recognition for “Person from Another Place,” featuring a young girl on a bus in St. Petersburg. Judge Tina Signesdottir Hult described the work as art, highlighting its simplicity, balanced tones, and emotional impact. The photograph transforms an everyday winter scene into what judges characterized as a poetic reflection on youth and solitude.

Bronze Award recipients included Abdullah Salah from Egypt for “Timeless Framing,” captured on an OPPO Reno14 5G, which documents the centuries-old El Mermah equestrian tradition through a single moment conveying speed, intensity, and cultural vitality. The six Bronze honorees collectively highlighted cultural diversity across global submissions.

The 2025 competition introduced expanded submission categories and new recognition tiers including Honorable Mention, Audience’s Choice, and Regional Awards. Category Award winners captured everyday moments ranging from couples in subway systems to children playing in India and Brazilian families during coffee harvest. Regional Award winners included Rohit271299 from India for “Windows of Innocence” and Alex Duvier from Brazil for “Harvest. Family at Work.”

This year’s diverse perspectives reaffirm OPPO’s view that meaningful stories are found in everyday life — and that mobile photography is a powerful way for people to express themselves and preserve what matters. Powered by the LUMO Image Engine, OPPO devices deliver more natural rendering of light, depth, and detail, enabling creators to tell stories that feel intuitive, human, and true to life.

Now in its third year, the OPPO Photography Awards has grown into a global stage that not only recognizes distinctive visual narratives but also supports emerging creative voices. Aligned with this year’s theme, “Super Every Moment,” OPPO continues to encourage creators worldwide to discover extraordinary stories hidden in ordinary moments.
