Bethesda today launched Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 digitally, with a physical release also scheduled this April.
While it has been a decade since the game launched, Fallout 4 is a massive game, so it makes sense that it has not gotten a Switch version. Sure, Skyrim was released on Switch, but that game was essentially a PS3-era title, unlike Fallout 4 which was made for the PS4 era. Finally, the Switch 2 has enough power to bring the wasteland to life, so it makes sense that Bethesda has finally launched the game on Nintendo’s console.
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition features the full base game, along with all six official DLC add‑ons. These include Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, Contraptions Workshop, Far Harbor, Vault‑Tec Workshop, and Nuka‑World.
Along with these, the Switch 2 version also comes with 150 pieces of Creation Club content, featuring weapons, quests, companions, and more.
Given that the Anniversary Edition is a “complete” version of the game, this is a great purchase for players who have not yet played Fallout 4. While the game is a decade old, we imagine that many new players have become interested in the series thanks to Prime Video’s Fallout live-action series.
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 is avaiable now digitally, with preorders also available now for the physical edition. The game’s physical Switch 2 verison will be released on April 28, 2026.
