HoYoverse recently announced that Genshin Impact Version Luna VI will launch on April 8, introducing players to the northern reaches of Mondstadt.
This latest update is titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Rondo – Augured Homecoming,” and it will feature new terrestrial areas and the Temple of Space high in the clouds to explore, along with the addition of a new playable character.
HoYoverse describes the new update as:
Mondstadt expands further north in Version Luna VI, where lush flower fields give way to the bustling trade at Dornman Port. Hovering high above this land is the mysterious Temple of Space, which houses fragments created by Asmoday, the sovereign of sky and space. Within this temple lie distinct realms inspired by ancient Liyue, Sumeru, and a fusion of various civilizations. Players can use a special interaction mechanic to manipulate and alter the space within these realms to uncover sealed paths and even secrets. By unraveling the mysteries of the Temple of Space, players will have the opportunity to revisit past adventures and gradually learn more about the enigmatic Ruler of Space. Additionally, players can also expect to encounter a new Boss, Watcher: Fallen Vigil, in the wilderness of the Dornman Port area.
As for the new character, Version Luna VI will see the introduction of Linnea, a 5-star Geo Bow character. Linnea is a capable support character for Lunar-Crystallize parties, as she can convert Hydro-Crystallize reactions into Lunar-Crystallize reactions. She can also summon her companion Lumi to increase Lunar-Crystallize DMG dealt while lowering the opponent’s Geo RES. Then, there’s her Elemental Skill, which can deal continuous off-field Geo DMG or a powerful Lunar-Crystallize reaction hit. Plus, she can provide partywide healing with her Elemental Burst.
Linnea will debut in the update’s first half alongside the returning Chasca. Then, the second half of Event Wishes of Version Luna VI will feature the return of Nefer and Lauma.

Other additions in this update include a trade show hosted by the Voynich Guild. Here, players can participate in challenges, including a fast-paced color-coded barrage shooter and a cooperative aerial bombardment challenge. By participating, players can get a chance to recruit Jahoda for free.
Players can also look forward to quality-of-life updates in Miliastra Wonderland, including an increase in player lobby capacity, as well as a new special effect editor, among others.
Genshin Impact Version Luna VI will be released on all platforms on April 8, 2026.
