The new nubia Neo 5 Series has landed in the Philippines, featuring three gaming smartphones that promise a good balance of performance and price, all while featuring eye-catching, gamer-style designs.
This new smartphone line is the successor to last year’s nubia Neo 3, and they promise to deliver even better performance, albeit at a slight premium. Note that, unlike the nubia V80 Max, which was launched earlier this year, the Neo 5 lineup sits in the mid-range segment, though none of the phones are priced at over PHP 20k.
Yes, even the most premium of the three, the nubia Neo 5 GT, is priced at well below PHP 20,000. This phone’s killer feature is the addition of a cooling fan that helps keep the phone’s temperature manageable, even when under heavy load.
Aside from the fan, this phone packs a Mediatek Dimensity 7400 chipset, a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, a 6210mAh battery, and a 50MP main rear camera.
Next up, we have the nubia Neo 5 Pro. This is a slightly more affordable model, and while it doesn’t have a built-in fan, it should still be capable for gaming. The phone is powered by a Unisoc T9100 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM. It also has a 50MP main camera, a 6.8-inch OLED display, and a 6,000mAh battery.
Rounding out the lineup is the nubia Neo 5. This phone features a similar style to the Neo 3 from last year, but it has an updated look, along with an updated Unisoc T9300 processor. Along with this, the phone has a 6.8-inch IPS screen, 8GB of RAM, a 50MP main shooter, and a 6,050mAh battery.
In the Philippines, the new nubia Neo 5 Series is priced at:
- nubia Neo 5 – PHP 11,999
- nubia Neo 5 Pro – PHP 14,999
- nubia Neo 5 GT – PHP 17,999
These phones were launched earlier today at an event in SM Megamall. There, buyers were able to get exclusive freebies worth up to PHP 3,999.
