Ahead of Labor Day later this week, here are five titles that Pinoy gamers may want to check out on PC Game Pass. Recently, Xbox did the same for Day of Valor in the Philippines, highlighting titles that have heroism and valor as their core themes.
For Labor Day on May 1, Xbox shared five games that feature twists on the theme of working, except for the first one, as it’s more of a fun game to relax with.
So, in case you’re looking for ideas on what games to play over the long weekend (as Labor Day happens this Friday), here are five games you may want to check out.
Forza Horizon 5
First is Forza Horizon 5. This is perhaps the perfect game to play during Labor Day, as it’s an exciting but also quite relaxing (especially compared to a more stressful multiplayer game). Thus, this is great for those who want to take their mind off work. Plus, now is a good time to play it, as Forza Horizon 6 is also launching on May 19, 2026.
TCG Card Shop Simulator
Now, if you want a game that gives more of a work vibe, there’s TCG Card Shop Simulator. If you like sim games and card games, this might just be for you. While you will have to stack shelves and clean floors, you can also open booster packs, and if you get a rare card, you can make a fortune.
Cities: Skylines II
For something even more involved, there’s Cities: Skylines II. If your idea of relaxing is in-depth urban planning, then this game is definitely for you, as it comes with a serious number of options to build your metropolis.
Frostpunk 2
As Labor Day celebrates Filipino workers (and is often tied to rallies for higher wages and better working conditions), Frostpunk 2 is perhaps the most thematic game to play. This city-survival game tasks players with managing a workforce in an unforgiving post-apocalyptic world.
Manor Lords
Finally, there’s Manor Lords. This is available on Game Pass as a Game Preview, and here, players take on the role of a medieval lord and grow their village into a full-fledged city. While it’s not as stressful as Frostpunk, it should still offer an engaging city-building experience. Plus, it should delight history fans with its medieval European setting.
