ASUS Republic of Gamers unveils the ROG Crosshair 2006 motherboard

This new motherboard marks 20 years of ROG.

ASUS Republic of Gamers has just unveiled the ROG Crosshair 2006, a special edition motherboard that celebrates 20 years of ROG.

This motherboard is a special version of the Crosshair X870E Dark Hero, featuring a design that’s based on the first motherboard ROG created 20 years ago. Aside from having eye-catching throwback colors, the ROG Crosshair 2006 also has a 2-inch OLED screen on the primary M.2 slot. This can display useful information such as CPU clock speed, temperatures, or fan speeds. Of course, users can also set custom images or animations to be displayed on the screen.

As for its specs, this motherboard features a pair of PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for GPUs, five M.2 slots (two of which support PCIe 5.0 drives), and support for a top-of-the-line AMD Ryzen 9000 Series CPU. This board also features ProCool II power connectors, MicroFine alloy chokes, and premium 10K black metallic capacitors.

For connectivity, the Crosshair 2006 has WiFi 7 support and 10G and 5G Ethernet ports. Meanwhile, I/O is comprehensive, as the motherboard has a pair of USB4 ports, three internal USB 2.0 headers, and a front-panel USB Type-C port with Quick Charge 4+, among others.

The ASUS ROG Crosshair 2006 will be available in the Philippines soon, though only a limited quantity will be released.
