Local artists are now using their HUAWEI smartphones to capture life for the global XMAGE Awards 2026 contest. This global photography competition, organized under the theme “Now Is Your Shot,” celebrates the profound ability of a single frame to capture emotion and truth. Open to both passionate hobbyists and professional photographers, the event has grown into a premier platform for mobile imaging excellence.
Participants are invited to transform everyday moments into compelling visual stories across nine distinct categories, such as Faces, Good Night, and Storyboard. Each category is specifically designed to unveil a vibrant kaleidoscope of human experience, capturing profound and fleeting moments that demand to be remembered by the world.
From the thousands of expected global entries, 100 outstanding works will be selected as part of the prestigious XMAGE 100, representing the most powerful visual narratives of the year. Among these, 97 winners will receive an XMAGE creator fund of USD 1,500 along with an electronic certificate of achievement. The stakes are even higher for the three Grand Prize Winners, who will each be awarded USD 10,000 in creator funds. Winners will be honored during a special ceremony this November at Paris’s Grand Palais, an international hub for art and fashion. To help Filipinos find inspiration, the brand has partnered with the Department of Tourism (DOT) to spotlight the unfiltered beauty of the Philippines. This initiative encourages creators to document authentic cultural treasures, from the Mayon Volcano in Albay to the intricate Hablon weaving in Cebu.
