Gone in 10 minutes! Or at least that’s the claim that fellow local tech-media site, GizGuide claimed last week on their post. While no definitive answer from the brand has been given, we did notice that one of OPPO’s latest flagship releases, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra has been sold out at least online in less than an hour after it was posted. I personally checked the official web store of OPPO Philippines at around 12:30am alongside their Shopee Store counterpart and both of them listed the OPPO Find X9 Ultra as completely sold out.
Aside from this, the Hasselblad Earth Explorer kit amounting to Php 16,999 was also sold out as well. Boo!
Even with a price tag of Php 99,999.00 we were quite surprised with the clamor for this ultra flagship phone. I personally reserved my unit at the OPPO Concept store at SM Megamall and thank God I did or else I probably would have to wait for a new batch of orders for my unit (if OPPO Philippines can still get allocations).
That being said, at the time when I picked up my unit, SM Megamall has already sold 25 units of OPPO Find X9 Ultra and majority have been getting the Tundra Umber colorway. This is the direct homage to the Hasselblad X2D 100C Earth Explorer camera, a unit that costs about $12,000-$13,000 USD (or roughly 720k-800k Pesos). But 25 units in a single day of Php 99,999 each? Wow. And that’s just one concept store!
As of this writing, we’re not entirely sure if all OPPO Find X9 Ultra have been sold out across all the physical stores. When I picked up my unit, the sales associate mentioned that they still had a couple of units of the equally stunning Canyon Orange colorway. But that was a couple of days ago. If all OPPO Find X9 Ultras have been depleted in the country then it stands the chance of making this phone one of the fastest-selling (if not the fastest-selling) Ultra Flagship phone of 2026 so far.
Kudos to OPPO Philippines for this win as the Find X9 Ultra is the first “Ultra” flagship phone that the brand carried over to our shores. OPPO has always had a conservative approach when it comes to releasing their flagship devices in the country and, with what they released, we could honestly say that there is no better time to do it.
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra was released with the OPPO Find N6 Fold and the OPPO Find X9s. Both the Find N6 Fold and and the X9s are still available to purchase in stores as well as online.
Here’s hoping that more people get to experience this monster of a phone and that they re-open orders for the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Kit. I really would love to get my hands on that!
