GARRACK unveils Evangelion mechanical watch collection, and it launches this month

This EVA mechanical watch lineup features three models, each inspired by one of the anime's iconic mechs.

Ueni Trading Co., Ltd recently announced the new GARRACK x Evangelion mechanical watch collection, featuring three models, each inspired by a specific EVA Unit.

Evangelion has long been a popular IP for collaborations, as we’ve seen fashion collabs and gaming crossovers continue to be released. The latest collab is with GARRACK for a new mechanical watch collection, with three models inspired by Evangelion Unit-01, Unit-02, and Unit-00.

Aside from featuring colors and design elements inspired by these iconic EVA units, each watch’s face is made in Raden, which is a traditional Japanese lacquerware craft that uses iridescent seashell slices as inlays for a shimmering look. Each dial is also finished by hand by Musashigawa Studio in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. Takaoka has long been known as a major center for traditional lacquerware production.

Each watch also uses a  Japanese automatic movement. As such, each watch is a genuine Made-in-Japan timepiece.

Here’s a look at all three designs:

Meanwhile, here are the material details of the watches:
