Nintendo Direct June 2026 Recap: Ocarina of Time Remake, Kingdom Hearts 4, and the other big reveals

The latest Nintendo Direct had lots of exciting trailers!

The June 2026 Nintendo Direct just happened, and it was a big show, featuring lots of exciting reveals and trailers. In fact, if you ask us, it was one of the best Directs in recent years in terms of how huge the announcements are.

This past week has already seen big reveals at State of Play, Summer Game Fest, and the XBOX Games Showcase. Not to be outdone, Nintendo had some heavy hitters at its June 2026 Direct, including the reveal of the Ocarina of Time remake, along with a surprise Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer.

In case you missed the stream, here’s a rundown of the highlights:

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake

The Ocarina of Time remake was no doubt the most hype announcement of the Direct. After all, OoT is perhaps the most beloved Zelda game ever. And while we didn’t get new gameplay footage, Nintendo did confirm that it will launch in 2026.

Kingdom Hearts IV

Next up, we have the Kingdom Hearts IV trailer. It has been a while since the KH4 reveal, so this new trailer was a surprise. While it featured some action-packed footage, it didn’t reveal a release date. What it did confirm is that it will launch on Switch 2 on the same day as other platforms.

Xenoblade Genesis

Xenoblade Genesis was also announced at the Direct, and instead of just a short teaser, we got a meaty trailer that showed off gameplay. It is also confirmed to launch sometime in 2027.

Final Fantasy Resonance

Final Fantasy Resonance is a significant announcement, as it’s the first Final Fantasy game to get Square Enix’s HD-2D treatment. From the looks of it, this turns the Brave Exvius mobile game into a proper standalone experience, similar to what Octopath Traveler 0 did. Resonance launches on October 22, 2026.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is another highlight, with the new trailer giving us a nice taste of what to expect in this new Fire Emblem game, which launches on September 17.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

Dark Arisen is a new expansion for Dragon’s Dogma 2, promising lots of big content additions when it launches this October.

The Duskbloods

FromSoftware’s new Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, got a new trailer at the Direct, revealing its upcoming Network Test in Summer 2026.

Star Fox

Following its reveal, the remake of Star Fox 64 got a trailer at the June 2026 Direct, announcing that a free demo is out now ahead of its launch later this month.

ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet

Grand Gourmet is a new One Piece game. Instead of being a big RPG, this is a cooking game featuring over 400 characters from the popular anime/manga. In the game, players are tasked with building a floating restaurant with the Straw Hat Crew. It will be released on October 23, 2026.

Along with these, we also got announcements of various Switch 2 ports, including games such as Metaphor: ReFantazio and Devil May Cry 5. If you want to see all the reveals or just want to relive the entire show, you can watch a VOD of the latest Nintendo Direct here.
