Recently, realme launched the P4 Power in the Philippines, a new smartphone with a stand-out feature: its massive battery.
To be exact, what makes this phone special is the fact that it has a massive 10,001mAh battery. Yes, you read that right, the realme P4 Power’s battery is the size of a power bank.
Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of smartphones with bigger batteries, though most of them still top out at around 7,000mAh. As such, the realme P4 Power pretty much beats every other phone in the market right now when it comes to the specs sheet.

Given how good it is on paper, we decided to test it out to see just how well its battery performs. And it won’t just be a simple test, as we tried out a rather difficult scenario that even we weren’t sure if the phone could handle.
As we wanted to see how long the battery can last, we decided to stream videos over Wi-Fi on the phone in a loop, checking back after 12 and 24 hours, to see if it is able to last. Note, this test was done with the screen at max brightness and max volume while using the onboard speakers. Pretty much every phone that we’ve daily driven would struggle to last in this test, so we were interested to see how the P4 Power would fare.
It turns out that yes, the phone can indeed survive the test! After 12 hours, it still had over 50 percent remaining, which was great news, but again, this wasn’t a guarantee that it wouldn’t suddenly conk out in the last hour or so.
Then, after 24 hours, it survived, with 2 percent remaining. This is a seriously great result, as it means more than just all-day battery life. For everyday use, this should easily give you up to two days on a single charge, even if you’re using the phone for more demanding tasks. In fact, if you’re a lighter user of your phone, we can see the P4 Power lasting up to three hours.
We also tried it out as a daily driver, and short of playing games near-constantly for a day, it’ll be a challenge to completely drain the battery in a day. This is great news for avid gamers. And what’s also great in this regard is its bypass charging support, which allows it to be powered while plugged in without charging the battery. This is great for gaming, as the phone won’t become too warm.

When you do need to charge, the phone has 80W fast charging support, meaning it can reach 50% charge in just over 30 minutes. It also has reverse charging support, meaning you can essentially turn it into a power bank.
Even though the battery is massive, the realme P4 Power surprisingly isn’t bulky. After seeing the specs, we expected it to be a thick device, but it’s still quite slim.
The phone is also built tough, with the phone having an IP69 dust and water resistance rating. This means it can survive submersions in up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. As a bonus, this realme phone is also MIL-STD-810H compliant, meaning it should be tough enough to withstand rather extreme conditions. Complementing this is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection for the screen, making it more scratch-resistant.
On top of all of these, the realme P4 Power has a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 1280 by 2800 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset, and a 50MP main camera. With these, the phone should be a great partner for binge-watching, gaming, and photography.
Of course, what truly makes it stand out is the massive 10,001 milliamp-hour battery, which makes it one of, if not the longest-lasting, phone out there on a single charge.

After our time with the phone, we can say that the realme P4 Power deserves to be called the Battery King, and it’s well worth taking a look at if you’re buying a new phone and have battery life as your top priority.
The realme P4 Power 5G has an SRP of PHP 25,999, and it’s now available in the Philippines via retail stores and official online outlets such as the realme Shopee Store.
