The LCP 2026 Wild Card begins this July: Here’s everything you need to know

Teams in SEA will get a chance to be promoted into the LCP!

Riot Games recently announced that the LCP Wild Card is returning for 2026, featuring qualifiers for five Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand.

In case you need a refresher, the LCP (or the League of Legends Championship Pacific) is the top-tier league in Asia-Pacific, featuring teams from East and Southeast Asia. The top teams of the LCP get direct invites to the League of Legends World Championship. Over the years, teams from Taiwan and Vietnam have dominated this league.

Along with the regional qualifiers, there will also be a Last Chance Qualifier, which will be open to teams from across Southeast Asia. Essentially, the top team of each regional qualifier will be joined by the Last Chance Qualifier winner at the Wild Card Playoffs. These four remaining teams will face off for a spot at the LCP 2027 Promotion Series, which is happening this November.

Here are the complete details of the regional qualifiers, their dates, and registration websites:

  • Philippines Qualifier
  • Regional Last Chance Qualifier

The Wild Card Qualifiers will begin with an open round, where teams will compete in a 2-day single-elimination best-of-1 bracket format. After Day 1, the top four teams will advance to the Knockout Round. Then, on Day 2, all teams will once again face off in a refreshed bracket, except for the four winning teams from the previous day. This means another four teams will end up on top.

These eight teams will then face off in a double-elimination best-of-3 bracket, with the Finals being a best-of-5 series. The winner of the Finals will move on to the LCP Wild Card Playoffs and get the lion’s share of the USD 2,000 prize pool.

Finally, we have the Wild Card Playoffs, happening from October 3 to 6. The four winning teams from each qualifier will face off in a double-elimination best-of-5 bracket, with games being played in Fearless Draft. There will also be a 2v2 match for Game 1 side selection.

This time, the prize pool is USD 5,000, though the biggest prize is the placement at the next LCP Promotion Series.
