These two paintings are used as thematic bridges with the MSI Prestige 14 Flip AI+. Both the Starry Night and Starry Night On the Rhone employs a special digital printing method to somewhat mimic the feel of a canvas. While they can’t exactly replicate Vincent Van Gogh’s impasto painting technique, it does somewhat feel more authentic that just having his known works plastered willy-nilly on the laptop’s rear cover.
And while it may not seem as intricately fabricated as last year’s Ukiyo-e Hokusei Edition, this year’s Van Gogh Edition still carries the brand’s deep respect, understanding, and admiration for the artwork, the artstyle, and the artist’s vision.
Vincent Van Gogh’s quotes are etched onto laptops as well and they feature two distinct quotes coinciding with the painting. One in 1888 for the Starry Night On the Rhone and one in 1889 for his notable Starry Night reflecting both his emotional state at the time.
These were quotes taken from his letters to his brother Theo who is his greatest supporter. In fact, it was with Theo that Vincent Van Gogh got to experience and develop his obsession with Japanese woodblock prints and Hokusei’s work like that shown on the previous MSI Artisan Collection. This link is precisely why MSI chose to highlight Vincent Van Gogh’s work this time around. This deep connection between these works, the research and thought by the team, is precisely why this particular Van Gogh collaboration is made more special.

Aside from the laptop itself, of course, the MSI Prestige 14 Flip AI+ Vincent Van Gogh Edition also comes with a specialized box, custom-themed mouse pads reflecting the laptop design of choice, sleeve bag, keyboard cover, custom ID Badges and themed mice as well.
No word yet if we’re getting these in the Philippines but since the first Artisan Collection Laptop was locally released last year, we’re hoping we’ll get these masterpieces in our country soon.
