ASUS is heating up the PC Gaming scene with the reveal of its latest line of ROG hardware at Computex 2018

ASUS made a splash today at Computex 2018 with their For Those Who Dare press event. Not only did they reaveal their revolutionary new ROG Phone, ASUS also unveiled a new lineup of PC gaming hardware, networking products, and laptops.

The biggest product reveals for the PC side are the new ROG Strix Hero II and Scar II gaming laptops. Other new products include the ROG Ryujin and ROG Ryuo CPU coolers, the ROG THOR 1200W Platinum power supply, the new ROG Delta gaming headset, and many other products.

 

ROG Strix Hero II and Scar II

At Computex 2018, ASUS revealed the latest generation of their popular Strix Hero and Scar laptops. As with the previous models, the Strix Hero II is designed for MOBA players, while the Strix Scar II is made with FPS gamers in mind.

Both laptops have all-new compact designs, and a gorgeous 144Hz display with supper-narrow bezels, which should make for an immersive gaming experience. Complementing the display is powerful internals, with an Intel Core i7-8750H processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (Hero II)/1070 (Scar II), a 128GB (Hero II)/256GB (Scar II) NVMe PCIe SSD, and a 1 TB Seagate FireCuda SSHD.

The Hero II and Scar II laptops will be available soon in all ROG Stores in the Philippines. The Hero II will be available for PHP 104,995, while the Scar II will have an SRP of PHP 129,995.

 

ROG Rapture

The ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 is the first tri-band 802.11ax router with Wi-fi speeds that can go up over 10,000Mbps, and it promises a speedy wireless internet connection that’s made for those who seek uninterrupted surfing or gaming. It’s a perfect match for motherboards that allow a 5-Gigabit LAN connection.

 

 

ROG Delta

The latest ROG gaming headset features a Hi-Fi-grade ESS quad-DAC for a clear true-to-life gaming audio, which will give gamers the advantage to pinpoint in-game footsteps. This headset also features an airtight chamber and exclusive ASUS Essence drivers with audio signal diversion technology to further improve sound quality. The RGB lighting effects give it a unique gaming style; and it’s a lightweight headset, assuring a comfortable gaming sessions.

 

The ROG Balteus Qi

The Balteus Qi is an RGB gaming mouse pad that combines a performance surface with the convenience of Qi wireless charging. Its 370×320 mm portrait-oriented surface offers space for charging and gaming, while the micro-textured hard surface enables precise tracking. The Balteus Qi is highly customizable, featuring 15 options for users to choice from.

 

ROG Gladius II Wireless

This Gladius II Wireless is an optical gaming mouse designed to provide great gaming performance in a cordless package. It offers dual wireless connectivity with industry-leading signal stability, movements are tracked by the 16000dpi sensor and are perfectly translated to on-screen action via ultra-fast 1ms 2.4GHz or low latency Bluetooth wireless connectivity. The ergonomic design is comfortable and enables easy switch-replacement giving an option for customization and powered by Aura Sync RGB.

 

ROG Strix Gaming Chassis

The ROG Strix Chassis takes gaming system design to a higher level, with features such as an ergonomic woven-pattern handle for easy pick up and transportation. It’s ideal for EATX motherboards, and it offers liquid cooling with dual 360mm radiators on both the top and front of the case for a cooler rig. The ROG Strix gaming chassis comes pre-installed with magnetic bearing PWM 140mm fans. In addition, ROG Strix Chassis features a Quick Charge 3.0 port, a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port, a tool-free ROG SSD caddy, a magnetic dust filter, and a vertical graphics card design for perfect gaming conditions and effortlessly clean builds. The aluminum and smoked glass chassis also comes with Aura Sync lighting technology.

 

ROG Ryujin 360/240

ROG Ryujin AIO cooler features a 1.77-inch OLED display. The OLED panel allows it to display real-time stats. The embedded micro fan meanwhile, provides additional cooling , reducing the temperature up to 20°C. Airflow is improved with its Noctua industrial PPC radiator, and allows it to reduce noise.

These coolers are a perfect match with ROG motherboards, giving additional options for customization and added flair to a gaming rig.

 

ROG Ryuo 240/120

 

On the other hand, the compact design of ROG Ryuo 240/120 is more suitable for those who have smaller rig. It features ROG designed radiator fans for more fluid airflow and static pressure. Like the Ryujin it also comes with 1.77 inch LiveDash Color OLED display showing real-time system stats; and it’s also highly customizable.

 

ROG Thor 1200W Platinum

ROG Thor 1200W Platinum is a power supply that features an IP5X-certified 135mm wing-blade fan, an OLED Power Display, and 100% Japanese capacitors. The 1,200-watt power supply has 80 PLUS Platinum certification for energy efficiency, a 10-year warranty and Aura Sync for lighting synchronization with an extensive Aura ecosystem.
