    This little gem was posted on CinemaBravo‘s and Viewer’s Choice Philippines Facebook page claiming that the box office hit anime film “Kimi no Na wa” (Your Name) is going to be released in the Philippines on December 2016!

    While there isn’t much to go on with the given info like exact date of Philippine release and which cinemas will show them, it hasn’t stopped the Pinoy fans to clamor for this animated feature. Kimi no Na wa (Your Name) has been regaled to be one of the most anticipated and critically acclaimed anime films to watch of 2016! Needless to say, we can’t WAIT for this film to come out here!

    Japanese Anime film “Kimi no Na wa.(Your Name | 君の名は) is currently on its 11th week of showing.

    The story follows two high school students, City boy Taki and Country girl Mitsuha, who are complete strangers living totally different lives yet one day find themselves switching bodies with each other. The switch continues to happen randomly and they start communicating by leaving notes and memos on each other’s phones. As the body swapping becomes more frequent, the two starts intervening in each others lives and is determined to find their way to finally meet up.

    As confirmed by Funimation Studios, the distributing company of the film in North America, “Kimi no Na wa” is currently shortlisted for the Best Animated Feature category for prestigious 89th annual Academy Awards.  The film has been slated to be released in the US and Canada sometime in 2017. Its qualifying run for the Oscars will take place in Los Angeles on December 2 – 8, 2016 at the Laemmle Music Hall.

    1. if it’s English or Tagalog dub maybe, you attract Pinoy Otaku audiences” but if not I assure you they already watch it! the movie was Great, so the hacker was they spread lot of Leaked video’s w/ watermarked..

    2. Dub never attracted otakus. You can NEVER get the essence of an anime if it’s not Japanese audio. Viewers Choice have already confirmed it’ll be subbed on theatrical release. I totally recommend watching this even if you’re not into anime. Makoto Shinkai’s works is just amazing.
