Koei Tecmo announces ‘Monster Rancher’ release date on Switch and on Mobile

Here's hoping it gets an international release.

ONE Store Beta Now Available

Back in August, Koei Tecmo announced that a port of the classic PlayStation title, Monster Rancher, is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Soon after, Koei Tecmo announced that the game will also release on mobile, specifically on Android and iOS. Now, we finally have a release date!

Koei Tecmo recently announced via the official “Monster Farm” Twitter (Monster Rancher’s Japanese title) that the Monster Rancher port will be released on Android/iOS on November 28. Meanwhile, the Switch version of the game will be released on December 19.

The release dates above are for Japan as Koei Tecmo has not yet announced any plans for an English release. We hope that the Monster Rancher port does get released internationally given its big overseas fanbase.

Released back in 1997 for the original PlayStation, Monster Rancher tasks players with breeding and raising monsters, as well as having them fight in battles. Think of it like Pokemon, but with a much bigger emphasis on breeding and raising monsters.
