Breaking: The Witcher will get an anime movie produced by Netflix

Hot-off the success of the first season of The Witcher, streaming giant Netflix looks to pick up the pace and capitalize on our favorite monster hunter by not only green-lighting a second season (and possibly even more), because it looks like they will be using a different kind of medium this time around as they plan to produce a brand-new animated film titled ‘The Witcher: Nightmare Of The Wolf’.

Coming back in the production is showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich along with Beau DeMayo. Mir animation studio will take the helm in making all of this possible for the small screen, which has an impressive track record as they were the ones also responsible for bringing Voltron: Legendary Defender, also from Netflix.

Not much detail was spilled for now but if Netflix will play their cards right, this film could bridge the gap in-between seasons, so we still get more of The Witcher at a constant pace. Win-win if you ask me.
