During the launch of the 5G-ready realme X50, the brand’s founder and CEO Sky Li announced that realme is gearing up for an even bigger 2020. Following realme’s record 500 percent year-on-year (YOY) growth in 2019, the brand is setting its sights on growing global shipments by more than 100 percent this year.

“The smartphone industry is a very competitive market where brands come and go, and it is fiercely growing as we speak. As a young brand, realme is optimistic it will surpass all the challenges in the industry and continue broadening our market footprint with the youth as our number one motivation. We at realme will only keep moving forward and offer real value products to all,” Li added.

While continuing its growth is not an easy task, realme is poised to deliver on its 2020 goal thanks to its aggressive approach of launching smartphones with powerful performance at a lower cost in various key countries. Last year, realme set sales records in the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia, three emerging smartphone markets that will drive even more growth for the brand.

Aside from delivering good bang-for-buck smartphones, realme is also gearing up to launch 5G devices this 2020. The brand already started this year in China with the release of the realme X50. It’ll only be a matter of time until realme rolls out even more 5G devices, both in its home country and in international markets.
