Capcom announces possible delays to ‘Resident Evil 3’ Remake in the Philippines

You might have to get the game digitally to play it on release.

With the whole of Luzon and select parts of Visayas and Mindanao under community quarantine, major video game retailers in the Philippines are currently closed. This means gamers will not be able to get physical copies of their games from stores such as Datablitz.

Given the quarantine, Capcom Asia has announced that gamers in the Philippines should expect delays in getting physical copies of the upcoming Resident Evil 3 Remake due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here is Capcom Asia’s full statement:

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, logistical, distribution and retail challenges may result in delay of the original release date set on 3 April 2020 in Philippines.

We will keep you updated once a more definite and clear release date is set. Your patience and support to Capcom are greatly appreciated.

For further information & pre-order situation, please continue to stay tuned to our distributor DataBlitz Facebook Page.

In line with Capcom Asia’s statement, Datablitz also assured Pinoy gamers that they will continue to be in touch with Capcom Asia regarding the physical release of Resident Evil 3.
