Proving once again that Huawei is on top of its game when it comes to mobile photography, DxOMark, the leading expert in benchmarking various cameras and smartphones when it comes to audio and video fidelity, has given the Huawei P40 Pro exceedingly top marks on their list!

With a score of 128, DxOMark, the Huawei P40 Pro is currently the reigning champ on smartphone photography and videography overtaking a lot of current-gen flagships and a couple of staple ones like the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max.

DxOMark, takes a scientific approach and thoroughly tests out each camera module in terms of performance and output. Everything from Zoom, Bokkeh, Fidelity, Contrast, Selfie and Video Stabilization have been examined. We’ve been trying out the Huawei P40 Pro and we get it why even the most scrutinizing person would love its cameras.

Here are some sample shots we’ve taken:

According to the report, the Huawei P40 Pro has edged the competition by as much as 4 points. In DxOMark history, most new flagship smartphone edges the precursor by just around 1 point. So, 4 points IS A LOT.

“The P40 Pro achieves an outstanding DXOMARK Camera score of 128 because it is either the best or one of the very best devices we have tested to date across nearly all categories. It is particularly impressive for Zoom, with shots across the zoom range showing better detail and lower noise than the competition. The main camera comes with the best-performing autofocus system we have seen and offers the best texture/noise balance to date.”
