Just a few days ago, ASUS has launched its new VivoBook lineup in the Philippines—the S14 (S433) and the S15 (S533). These new notebooks from ASUS are made for Gen Z users in mind as they both feature premium and colorful designs, as well as capable specs that will easily handle today’s school and office tasks.

In case you’re looking for a new laptop (or a laptop upgrade) to start the upcoming school year or to improve your current work-from-home setup, the new VivoBook laptops are for you. Though if you need more convincing, here are four features of the new Intel-powered VivoBook S series—specifically the smaller S14 (S443) model– that impressed us:

Eye-Catching Design

The stand-out feature of the VivoBook S14 is its design. This new laptop from ASUS features diamond-cut edges and a textured finish for a premium look and feel. The S14 also comes in four eye-catching colros: Indie Black, Gaia Green, Resolute Red, and Dreamy White. Thanks to these colors, you can choose the S14 colorway that matches your personality the most!

To add even more personality to the laptop, each VivoBook S comes with a free sticker pack which you can use to decorate personalize your new notebook.

Another nice touch design-wise is the color-blocked Enter key. While the keyboard has a silver metallic color, the Enter key has bright neon yellow edges, making for a nice pop of color.

To top it all off, the VivoBook S14 is incredibly thin and light as it weighs only 1.4 kg. The S14’s portability, coupled with its charming design and premium materials, make it a device that can easily pass off as a high-end ultrabook, but without the high-end price tag.

Quality Full HD Display

Design isn’t the only area that ASUS focused on for the VivoBook S14; the notebook’s display is also a highlight. The new S14 packs a 14-inch Full HD (1920×1080) NanoEdge display with an 85% screen-to-body ratio. When used for movie/series marathons, the S14’s screen shines as it’s output is sharp and has great colors. The fact that the display also has minimal bezels makes for an even more immersive viewing experience.

Aside from great video output quality, the S14’s screen also has a wide viewing angle, meaning you can clearly see the display even when viewed at an angle. This makes for a great viewing experience when two or more people are watching on the screen.

Good Performance

Having a great design and display is great and all, but performance is arguably any laptop’s key feature; in this regard, the VivoBook S14 does not disappoint!

Powered by an Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor (or an Intel Core i7-1065G7) that’s paired with an NVIDIA MX350 graphics card and 8GB of RAM, the VivoBook S14 (S433) has lots of power for your needs. If you’re a student that will enroll in a distance learning program, this laptop should be powerful enough for your study needs. Meanwhile, professionals who are currently working from home will be served well by the VivoBook S14 as its specs are easily capable of running your office applications, video call services, and more.

Thanks to the MX350 graphic card on the S14, the laptop can also be used for photo editing, light video editing, and even a bit of 3D work. Of course, a proper workstation laptop will still be needed for more hardware-intensive applications, but the VivoBook S14 can at least be used in a pinch. Plus, the dedicated GPU also means you can run some games on it like Dota 2.

Long Battery Life

Given its performance and slim build, I didn’t expect much from the laptop’s battery life. When I tested it out though, the S14’s battery impressed me!

In our review, the VivoBook S14 (S433) still had around 70% remaining after running a 2 and ½ hour movie at 50% volume and brightness. With this result, the S14 should be able to last for quite a while on a single charge (around 6-8 hours we reckon).

Thanks to its great battery life, you won’t have to be chained to a power outlet when using the VivoBook S14!

Convinced? The ASUS VivoBook S14 and S15 are available now at ASUS Concept Stores nationwide, as well as through the official ASUS online stores in LazadaShopee, and E-store. The laptops are priced at PHP 49,995 for the i5 variant, and PHP 59,995 for the i7 variant.
