Finding the right balance between geek and fashion has been a tricky subject as of late as there have been quite a few fashion brands delving into creating fashion collabs with various geeky properies. From casual wear, fast fashion, to even high-end luxury, geek collabs seemingly is the de rigueur nowadays, something that streetwear excels in.

Enter the local scene Unbox.ph founder-slash-YouTuber, Carlo Ople, hooked up with renowned local techwear brand SNK ATK Design Labs in a special collaborative release titled Pro:ject Shadow.

SNK ATK has worked with various names in local streetwear, most notably Secret Fresh of DJ Big Boy Cheng and this is the first project that they will be having with Project 7 to 1, a venture that Carlo started that focuses on empowering and equipping Filipinos to go for their dreams and passions with webinars, digital content, and various apparel/accessories. The ideology stems from the concept of building your dreams by making good use of your 7pm-1am time (usually when your day job is over). There is a growing Facebook Group dedicated to this as well.

For Pro:ject Shadow, Carlo tapped SNK ATK primarily because of his love for Japanese culture and tech-inspired fashion, something that SNK ATK Design Labs does so magnificently.

“For this collection the best partner was SNK ATK because we share the same passion for Japanese design and technical clothing that delivers functional benefits and not just pure aesthetic,” said Carlo Ople, founder of Project 7 to 1.

“This is for the modern-day work from home Filipino who wants clothes that are comfy and unique which they can wear while doing zoom calls, presentations, and other tasks.” he shared.

Carlo, who in the past studied and practiced a bit of Judo, talks highly of one of the central pieces in the Pro:ject Shadow collection, the Shadow Noragi Jacket v721 (Php 3,999).

“Our hero piece, the Noragi Jacket, captures the entire philosophy of this collection. We used lightweight water-resistant nylon ripstop to ensure protection and easy washing, combined with premium brushed fleece on the collar and the pockets for extra comfort for contact points that are likely to touch skin,” says Psalm Alfafara, Creative Director and Principal Designer of SNK ATK.

Each piece is made with the highest quality with a perfect marriage of design and function. Check out the rest of the pieces below.

The Project 7 to 1 x SNK ATK Pro:ject Shadow collection drops on April 15 exclusively on the Project 7 to 1 website and Lazada shop.
