Elden Ring Thai launch trailer pretty much sums up the game’s plot

I'd say "spoilers ahead", but you'd need to play through the game to see how much this Bandai Namco SEA Thai ad for Elden Ring makes sense.

I’d say “spoilers ahead”, but you’d need to play through the game to see how much this Bandai Namco SEA Thai ad for Elden Ring makes sense.

Thailand is notorious for very craftily tugging on our heartstrings and taking us on an impromptu “feels trip” with their advertising. When it comes to Thai ads, it doesn’t matter what the product is–there’s always a lesson to be learned, feelings to be acknowledged, or thoughts to be reflected upon. Elden Ring’s launch is no exception.

If you had no idea what was being advertised, Elden Ring would be your very last guess. You have your usual home setting, childhood flashbacks, interpersonal squabbles, and of course, the very important lesson that teaches us the value of family. There’s a lot to digest in this advertisement. While I’d like to appreciate the poignance of the overall lesson it delivers, I can’t help but laugh at how it SOMEHOW sums up what Elden Ring is all about–in spite of the game actually being shoehorned into the conclusion.

Very succinct. Well-played, Bandai Namco.

Today’s release of Elden Ring brought about a few strange yet nice celebrations, and we’re keeping our eyes peeled for whatever may pop up. Feel free to check out our detailed review, and see how just good we believe it is.

Elden Ring is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
