Samsung Galaxy S22 price and availability in the Philippines announced

At the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung officially revealed the new flagship S22 series, featuring the S22, S22+, and the S22 Ultra.

Following the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung officially revealed latest flagship Galaxy S22 series, along with price and availability information in the Philippines.

Galaxy S22 Ultra 

For starters, the highlight of the new flagship lineup is the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This phone is the spiritual successor to the Galaxy Note lineup as it not only features a more square-edged design, it also comes with a built-in S Pen — a first for the Galaxy S series.

Aside from having an S Pen, the Galaxy S22 Ultra also has a range of top-of-the-line features, including a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor which runs on a 4nm process, a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Edge AMOLED display, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus S for better drop and scratch protection.

As for its cameras, the S22 Ultra 5G features a 108MP main shooter, a 10MP + 10MP dual telephoto camera setup, and a 12MP ultrawide. At the front meanwhile is a 40MP selfie shooter. These cameras promise great low light and video capture.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is priced in the Philippines at the following SRPs:

  • PHP 68,990 for the 128GB variant
  • PHP 72,990 for the 256GB variant
  • PHP 80,990 for the 512GB variant

The S22 Ultra will be available for pre-order from February 9, 2022 11:00 PM until March 3, 2022 through Samsung.com. Each pre-order will come with freebies and discounts worth up to PHP 13,200.

Customers can also pre-order through Samsung Experience Stores, select Authorized Samsung Stores, Lazada, Shopee, Abenson.com, and MemoXpress Online from February 10 – March 3, 2022. Pre-orders here will come with as much as PHP 13,200 worth of freebies, including a pair of Galaxy Buds Pro worth PHP 9,990, a Silicone Case with Strap worth PHP 1,999 and a Lucky Box Strap worth PHP 1,299.

Finally, the phone will be available starting March 4, 2022 in Samsung.com, Samsung Experience Stores, select Authorized Samsung Stores, Lazada, Shopee, Abenson.com, and MemoXpress Online, and telco partners.

Galaxy S22 & S22+

Next up, we have the Base S22 and S22+. Both phones feature the same flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, along with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The two phones also come with a 50MP wide + a 10MP telephoto with OIS + 12MP ultrawide triple camera setup, along with 10MP front cameras. Plus, the S22 and S22+ both have S Pen support.

The phones do differ in size and battery capacity. Samsung’s S22 packs a 6.1-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate while the S22+ 5G features a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a similar 120Hz refresh rate. As for battery, the S22 has a 3,700mAh battery while the S22+ packs a 4,500mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ will be available in the Philippines at the following prices:

  • PHP 45,990 for the S22 128GB variant
  • PHP 49,990 for the S22 256GB variant
  • PHP 56,990 for the S22+128GB variant
  • PHP 60,990 for the S22+ 256GB variant

Both phones will be available for pre-order through Samsung.com from February 9, 2022 11:00 PM until March 3, 2022. Each pre-order will come with freebies and discounts worth up to PHP 13,200.
