Hello Kitty turned 30–almost two decades ago, and to celebrate this back in 2004, an estimated 12 pairs of Hello Kitty x Nike Air Prestos were released to a reasonable amount of hype.
The rumor-mill starting churning last year, and people were speculating on whether we’d be getting a re-run of the super rare Hello Kitty Prestos, or something completely new altogether.
Twitter just had to chime in.

While we didn’t get those classic kicks, Nike did give us something sweet in return. The 2022 collab dropped this week and they feature a light blue colorway and, some sweet Hello Kitty branding, and a custom heelcup that you’d just hate to have scuffed on account of how cute it is.
I mean, just check ’em out.
As per usual, we’ll be getting a line of clothing to go with the kicks. For now, we get a lounge set. But who knows? We might get more upon the official release.
The complete Hello Kitty X Nike collaboration is scheduled to launch on May 2, 2022.
