Following their reveal back in December, PlayStation has announced that the new colors of the official PS5 console covers and DualSense controllers are releasing in the Philippines on June 17, 2022. These covers and controllers will also be available on the 17th of June in other Southeast Asian countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Specifically, the new colors for the PS5 covers and controllers are Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. These new colors join the previously released Cosmic Red and Midnight Black covers and controllers.
If you’ve yet to try replacing your PS5’s cover, it’s quite easy to do so. You can simply pop out the original white PS5 console covers by pulling them from the top part, and then you can just click the new covers into into place. These new PS5 console cover colors will be available for both the PS5 with the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and the PS5 Digital Edition.
The console covers are available at the following prices: SGD79.9 / MYR259 / IDR939,000 / THB1,890 / PHP3,090 / VND 1,499,000.
Meanwhile, the DualSense controllers are priced at: SGD107 / MYR369 / IDR1,359,000 / THB2,590 / PHP4,290 / VND 2,099,000.
While the default white colorway of the PS5 covers and the DualSense controllers make the console look distinct, not everyone prefers to have a white-colored console. With this, PS5 owners have an option to customize their console. Though here’s hoping that Sony releases PS5 units with alternate cover color options soon so that users won’t need to purchase an extra cover.
