TOYCON 2022: Exclusive Art Toys you wouldn’t want to miss

TOYCON 2022 is happening this weekend, and it’s a must-visit for toy lovers and collectors as there are lots of exclusive art toys available at the event.

As there are lots of big toy drops at the event, here’s a handy list that you wouldn’t want to miss:

1. Quiccs Maiquez

Perhaps the most known Art Toy creator in the Philippines, Quiccs’s work has been celebrated across the globe with having drops sold out in mere minutes. This TOCYON 2022, Quiccs partnered with Toei Co, Ltd. to bring one of the most iconic Japanese Mecha characters to his Bulletpunk Universe, the Voltes V x Quiccs VOLTEQ V63. This con-exclusive merch is the centerpiece of TOCYON 2022 and will be available in 3 sizes – MicroTEQ 3.5″, Classic 7″ and a large 14″ tall Toy.

But that’s not all that Quiccs is bringing to the table as he recently just announced over on his Facebook page 2 additional drops, namely the EGGTEQ 63 — co-created by Philippine graffiti legend Egg Fiasco of Hidden Fortress which utilizes colors from his Adidas Ultraboost DNA City Pack design. This will be an extremely limited run of just 63 pieces.

Lastly, Quiccs revealed a special Good Guys Never Win & Co. (GGNW) TEQ63 and Mariko creation coming your way this weekend at TOCYON 2022.

2. DTC Studios

DTC Studios serves a special place in this list because of their involvement in UnboxCon 2022. In that event, they dropped a 3.5-inch UnboxCon exclusive colored The Warden — his seminal piece. For TOCYON, a larger 6-inch Philippine-Flag colored Warden is up in-store. Only 10 pieces, the Warden Pinas has yellow transparent resin for the flames on his head and hands and wears a Red and Blue Corporate Hoodie. This guy means business — and by business, it means hankering souls to the netherworld.

Artist Joshua Adrian Aristoza will also be bringing a 1 or 1 10-inch Warden in its Inferno size to the convention.

3. RLUX Custom / Telesuccess Productions/ Kensuke Creations

Blending his love for anime, mecha, and sneaker culture, Kensuke Creations has made a name for himself in the local art and sneaker world. Recently lending his talent for RLUX Custom Toys, they’re joining the convention’s collective love for anything Voltes V with their Mecha Streetwear Series of the famed giant robot. Donning a red Voltes V lifesaver vest on top of a slick dark blue hoodie and white joggers, Voltes V has never looked this chill!

4. Chk Dsk

Part of the Bulletpunk Network, Chk Dsk (Niel Marcelino) is launching a limited run of his 6″ resin MWR: MAGNUM figure in its original Orange and Black colorway and a special Philippine colorway at the TOCYON 2022. You can check his stuff out at the Bulletpunk Network booth.

5. Steffi

Last on our list is Steffi (Lianne Steffi Lim). She brings a watercolor hand-painted touch to her cutie patootie collectibles. There’s a certain old-world charm that meets modern-day wit and sensibility to her art. Transforming her toys into a canvas for her expression, these porcelain-looking goodies will grace TOCYON 2022 starting with a limited run on Haze Loopy carrying a, uh, let’s just say magical leaf.

Then, there’s the collaboration piece with EJ Sulit called NakaGucciSha which was inspired when they were watching House of Gucci.

Bonus – Notable Exclusive Release

Rounding up the Mecha and Voltes V frenzy are officially licensed Voltes V shirts that will drop at the event. These shirts will have a limited run (300 per design) and retail at Php 950 each. There are probably more than these designs so best to drop by ToyCon 2022 if you want to check the entire collection out.
