Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse remaster shows new costumes

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse showcased its new costumes that come as early bonuses ahead of its March 9, 2023 release date.

ONE Store Beta Now Available

Koei Tecmo released a video showcasing alternate costumes for their upcoming remaster of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (MotLE). Much like from their previous remaster, these costumes are all available as an early purchase bonus or as an incentive for the Digital Deluxe edition of the game; all these costumes are a new addition to the game.

Much like the Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water remaster, these costumes were not included in the original Wii version of Fatal Frame: MotLE, and some costumes from the previous version will not be included in the remaster.

Meanwhile, players will be delighted to know that there are going to be unlockable costumes included in the base game. Players can unlock the Camera Obscura Hat if they have existing save data of Fatal Frame: Maiden of the Black Water stored in their console. Unlockable new swimsuit costumes for each character are also making a comeback in this remaster, along with several costumes that can be obtained by meeting in-game requirements.

Pedaling back to the early purchase costume bonuses, they include Ruka’s “Marie Rose outfit”. Players can claim these rewards within two weeks after the game’s release. But for those who plan on getting the game at a later date, these costumes may become available as a paid cosmetic once the claiming period is over.

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse releases for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox, and the PC via Steam on March 9, 2023.
