ONE Store Beta Now Available

Following its reveal during The Game Awards back in December, Bandai Namco shared the release date and gameplay footage of Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon via a new trailer.

While many expected this next Armored Core game to be released later this year at the earliest, it will surprisingly launch in August, meaning players only have to wait a couple of months before players can get their hands on it.

As for the gameplay, it seems a lot like the previous Armored Core games given the fast pace of the mecha action that was shown. Though it seems that the boss fights are also going to be just fast which should make for some high-octane gameplay.

While FromSoftware is synonymous with the Souls games at this point, the studio promises that Armored Core 6 won’t make the game into “Mech Souls.” Instead, the game is made as an Armored Core title first and foremost, meaning there is a focus on mech customization.

The trailer shows off new footage, but we’ve yet to see a proper video breakdown of how the game will flow. Considering that it will be released in June, we might not have to wait long for that to happen.

Along with the trailer, Bandai Namco also revealed the Collector’s Edition for Fires of Rubicon, and it will feature a figurine, an artbook, a Steelbook, pin badges, stickers, and a digital soundtrack.

Meanwhile, the game will also be available in a Standard and Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition will feature only the base game. Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition will feature the MELANDER C3 G13 Special Customization and a digital artbook plus original soundtrack.

These two editions will be available for all five platforms that the game will be released on.

Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on August 25, 2023.
