Kson is finally going to achieve her dream of meeting Kiryu as she will be featured as a hostess in Like a Dragon Gaiden following RGG Studio’s audition.
In case you missed it, series creator RGG Studio recently held an audition for actresses/talents where a lucky few will be selected to join the next Like a Dragon game. Among them is Kson who is a noted fan of the Yakuza series.

The winners were announced recently via a livestream on the RGG Studio YouTube channel. There, the five winners were revealed, and they will be part of the next Like a Dragon game as hostesses as the popular cabaret club mini-game will be back in Gaiden.
Here are the five winners of the audition:
- Ayu
- Ai Kaname
- Kson
- Ai Sayama
- Kokoro Nakayama

Kson is a VTuber and a member of VShojo. It’s fair to say that Kson is a huge fan of the Yakuza series as she has professed her love for the series (and for Kiryu) plenty of times in various streams.
As a massive fan of the series, Kson will finally be able to achieve her dream of meeting Kiryu, albeit in game. Though interestingly, Kson will appear as herself and not her 3D avatar. This is because, unlike many VTubers which keep their faces hidden, Kson streams and uploads videos without her Vtuber avatar fairly regularly.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is an upcoming spin-off of the series, and it should be one that fans should watch out for. While mainline entries in the series now feature Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s (aka Yakuza 7) Ichiban as the protagonist, Gaiden will make Kiryu playable once again.
As for its story, Gaiden will follow Kiryu’s story from after Yakuza 6 up to the events of Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Like a Dragon Gaiden will be released sometime in 2023 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
