The PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR unveiled in China
HONOR revs up its partnership with Porsche Design with a luxurious take on their flagship foldable.
Following the announcement on their recent partnership, HONOR finally reveals their first collaboration with renowned luxury design brand, Porsche Design. We now have a first glimpse of the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR, revealed in Shanghai, China last week.
According to the brand, this is another step in their pursuit to bring collective innovation (and stunning lifestyle devices) to their consumers. “United by a shared pursuit of excellence, HONOR and Porsche Design will co-design the next generation of smart devices, combining human-centric technology and functional design to create exciting products for global consumers”, shares George Zhao, CEO of HONOR Device Co., Ltd
And boy, what a stunner!

The PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR features a bold design inspired by motorsports with designs intricately inspired by the hood of a Porsche 911. The improved grip also provides a sportscar-like experience with the smartphone coming in a Porsche Agate Grey colorway.
It’s not just the overall aesthetic that got the Porshe Design luxe treatment. Under the hood, the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR got a few mighty upgrades with choice materials allowing the unit to be mighty thin, but might sturdy. For starters the unit weighs only 234g and is just 9.9mm thick. Take note that this is a foldable device — and yes, that’s pretty thin for its class. Second, this is the first phone to incorporate an industry’s first Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield providing enhanced protection to the device. The tenfold improved scratch resistance and the hardness rating of over seven on the Mohs scale – a scale which indicates the degree of strength of a material – ensures superior resistance to damages. Lastly, according to the brand, the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR can offer unprecedented visual experience with its stunning foldable OLED LTPO display. Circadian Night Display, a high 3840Hz PWM Dimming, and other eye-strain reducing technology has been added to the phone itself.
Additionally the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 16GB RAM/ 1TB ROM, a host of powerful rear cameras (50MP Wide with OIS, 50MP Ultra-wide, and 20MP Telephoto with OIS), and a flagship-standard 5000mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge Charger.
Currently there is no word if the PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic V2 RSR will be made available locally as it’s currently being released (and available for pre-order) in China. That being said, as this is a Porsche Design collaboration, expect to fork out a pretty penny if and when it does reach Philippine shores. Currently, the asking rate in China for this smartphone is at 15,999 Yuan or roughly Php 127K Pesos.
