Canon is holding a free filmmaking workshop with Filipino director Zig Dulay later this week

This workshop promises to be a must-attend for aspiring Pinoy filmmakers.

Canon recently announced that award-winning Filipino director Zig Dulay will hold a filmmaking workshop on May 24 and 25 for aspiring Pinoy filmmakers.

To be exact, Zig Dulay’s workshop is happening at Henry’s Photo Fiesta in One Ayala Mall, Makati. There, Dulay will share his creative workflow for film projects, including techniques for scriptwriting, planning, and post-production. What’s more, attendees will also get to try out Canon’s EOS R system and Cinema EOS camera and Cine-Lenses at the Canon booth.

“Storytelling has always been a passion of mine, so to be at a place where I can share my experience and knowledge with young filmmakers is very exciting. It’s very important to uplift and empower Filipino creativity through hands-on workshops, especially when they’re initiated by iconic brands like Canon,” shared Dulay.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Dulay is a renowned film director hailing from Isabela. As a writer/director, Dulay has received accolades for his work, including the Best Director award for “Firefly” at the 1st Manila International Film Festival in the US. Dulay’s other films include “Black Rainbow,” “Bagahe,” “Akin Ang Korona,” “Paglipay,” and “Bambanti.”

Aside from movies, Dulay has also taken his talents to TV as he has directed hit dramas like  “Sahaya,” “Legal Wives,” and “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”
