ONE Store Beta Now Available

Canon Philippines recently launched the PowerShot V10, a vlogging camera with a unique form factor that you can bring anywhere you go. Along with this new PowerShot, Canon also launched a new mirrorless camera and a prime lens.

The highlight of the launch though is the PowerShot V10. While there have been many cameras made that are designed for vlogging, this latest camera from Canon might just be the most interesting one yet.

Instead of having a typical horizontal and rectangular design (as with most cameras), the PowerShot V10 has a vertical form factor that’s small and light, all while having some nifty features that make it a great on-the-go vlogging partner.

Canon PowerShot V10 Philippines – Features and Price

Specifically, the V10 has a an integrated retractable and tiltable stand, essentially giving users a small tripod. It also comes with a flip-up display so content creators/vloggers can easily see if they’re in the frame. And using it won’t require an external mic as the camera has a built-in large-diameter three-element microphone that cancels noise and promises clear audio.

The PowerShot V10 can also be a great partner for livestreaming as users can stream from the camera directly to Facebook or YouTube via the Camera Connect app. Plus, the camera can be used as a webcam via the plug-and-play USB-C connection.

Of course, having a unique form factor and vlogging features are one thing, but that won’t matter if the video quality isn’t good. With this in mind, Canon promises that the V10 will capture quality videos, even for beginners. This is thanks in part to the Face Tracking and Specified Frame autofocus which smartly keeps the focus on the user with no need to fiddle with settings.

In the Philippines, the Canon PowerShot V10 is priced at PHP 29,998. Each purchase comes with a free SanDisk 64GB Extreme microSD card, as well as a free DVL KAIROS BAG from Straightforward. Take note though, this package is only available until supplies last.

The camera comes with a bevy of nifty features that can help out budding photographers such as accurate autofocusing supported by Eye and Face Detection; a Creative Assist mode with easy-to-understand settings like “Background blur”, “Brightness”, and “Saturation”; and a Scene Intelligent Auto mode that lets the camera choose the settings depending on the scene. And of course, for users who want to dip their toes more into photography, this is an interchangeable lens camera, meaning users can choose from different kinds of lenses, including over 30 RF and RF-S lenses, as well as over 80 EF lenses via the EF-EOS R Mount Adapter.

Speaking of lenses, Canon also introduced the RF28mm f/2.8 STM which is the the first-ever “pancake” prime lens in the RF lens lineup. This lens is compatible with both full-frame and APS-C EOS R cameras, offering a large maximum aperture and excellent image quality.
