Too Many Losing Heroines Season 2 is in the works

Six months since the first season’s finale, Makeine aka Too Many Losing Heroines is officially getting a Season 2.

For anime fans who have kept up with the 2024 seasonal anime releases, Makeine was no doubt one of the shows that they watched, or at least got their attention. The show aired as part of the Crunchyroll Summer 2024 anime lineup, and it made waves among rom-com anime fans thanks to its loveable cast. It also helped that the show is based on the light novel of the same name, featuring illustrations by Imigimuru of Lycoris Recoil fame.

Thanks to its great reception, it should come as no surprise that Too Many Losing Heroines was finally renewed for a second season. This was revealed via an announcement video shared on the Aniplex YouTube channel and the Makeine anime X account.

While the video did not reveal much, it should be great news for fans of the anime. Plus, given that it was shared on Aniplex’s channel, it’s likely that A-1 Pictures will return to work on the series.

Currently, there’s no word on a release date for Season 2, though it’s likely that we’ll need to wait until 2026 for Too Many Losing Heroines to return, especially as it takes a while to produce even just one season of any anime.
