Along with its new laptop and monitor lines, Acer introduced two new Iconia V Series tablets, along with new mobile connectivity devices, as well as wearables from its Acer Gadget subsidiary.
In case you missed it, we’ve seen plenty of tablet announcements from various smartphone brands over the past week, and with the new Iconia V devices, the tablet market is about to heat up, it seems. Their announcement is a bit of a surprise though, especially considering that Acer is more known for its laptops and PCs, though the brand has released various tablets years ago.
Acer Iconia V Series Tablets: The V12 and V11
The new Iconia V Series devices are Android tablets, and they’re aimed at budget-conscious users. To be exact, Acer unveiled two models, the Iconia V12 and Iconia V11.
Both tablets feature large displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio, as well as up to 2K resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. The tablets also pack MediaTek Helio G99 processors with Android 15 and up to 8 GB DDR4 RAM. As such, these tablets should have decent gaming performance as the processor is good more for media consumption and light productivity at this point.
Other features include an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front shooter, up to 256 GB of built-in storage (expandable up to 1 TB with a microSD card), and an 8,000 mAh battery.

To go along with the new tablets, Acer also revealed new mobile connectivity devices, including the Acer Connect X6E Plus 5G CPE. This is designed for users who need reliable and flexible network connections, and itis compatible with eSIM, Nano SIM, and vSIM network setups. It also packs NFC touch-to-connect technology, and can support dual WAN and 5G WAN connections .
Acer also unveiled the Connect M4 5G Mobile Wi-Fi Mobile hotspot device which can connect with up to 16 devices simultaneously via Wi-Fi 6. This portable hotspot also supports tri-SIM (Nano SIM, eSIM, and vSIM), and has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.
Rounding out the connectivity lineup is the Connect D5 Pro Dongle. This lightweight and portable dongle weighs just 52g, but promises uplink rates of up to 3.2 Gbps. This should make it a good connectivity partner for laptop users who require fast internet connections while on the go.
New Gadget Wearables
There’s also the latest devices from Acer Gadget (a subsidiary of Acer). These include the AI TransBuds which are wireless earbuds with a hook design. While they promise good sound quality for music and calls, their highlight feature is real-time AI translation, with support for 15 major languages.
There’s also the Acer FreeSense Ring which features advanced biometric sensing for health monitoring. You can think of this as a smartwatch without a screen as it can monitor heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep quality, though you’ll need to connect it to a smartphone to get these info.
