At Computex 2025, Acer unveiled its latest gaming laptops, including the new Predator Triton 14 AI and Predator Helios Neo 14 AI. These new gaming laptops promise excellent performance, though they also each have an interesting ace up their sleeve.
Acer is no stranger to gaming laptops. Since its Predator line was born back in the late 2000s, Acer has released plenty of impressive Predator gaming machines over the years. Looking back to 2017, we have the Predator 21 X, a massive gaming laptop with a 21-inch curved screen. If that’s not impressive enough for you, there’s also the Thronos which is perhaps the most extra gaming setup you can get.
Of course, Acer also has a wide array of more “typical” gaming laptops. Even though they aren’t as attention-grabbing as the 21 X or the Thronos, Predator has proven to be an incredibly popular brand for laptop gamers, enough that Acer is the top gaming notebook brand in multiple countries, including the Philippines and Thailand.
Acer is looking to continue its dominance in these markets with its two new gaming notebooks revealed at Computex 2025.
Predator Triton 14 AI: Designed for Gaming and Productivity
The first of these new gaming notebooks is the Triton 14 AI, a laptop that’s made not only for gaming, but also for content creation workloads.
To start, the laptop has up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 288V and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. With this combo, the Triton 14 AI should have no issues running today’s popular games, whether it’s more competitive multiplayer titles or the latest esports games.
On their own, this CPU and GPU combo is also capable when it comes to content creation, but what the Triton 14 AI has is the option to install NVIDIA Studio drivers. While the default option is NVIDIA’s Game Ready driver (which is optimized for gaming), the Studio driver option is great for those who need a laptop more for creative tasks like video editing, 3D modeling, etc. That’s because Studio drivers are optimized to deliver better performance for content creation.
What’s also great about the Predator Triton 14 AI is its large one-piece button-less haptic Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad with stylus pen support. This laptop comes with a bundled active stylus that supports AES 2.0, USI 2.0, and MPP 2.5 protocols with 4,096 pressure levels, tilt support, and a responsive 10-450 g pen tip force. Thus, this is a nice option to have for digital artists as they can use the touchpad while on the go instead of bringing a separate drawing tablet.
As for the main screen, the laptop has a 14.5-inch OLED WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800) display with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. This screen promises to have precise color accuracy for creative professionals. Plus, on the gaming side, its 120Hz refresh rate shouldn’t disappoint.
To top it off, the new Triton laptop has dual 6th Gen AeroBlade 3D metal fans – the world’s thinnest laptop cooling fans. Even though the fans are extra-thin, the laptop should have no issues when it comes to thermals, even when gaming or editing. This is thanks in part to the fans’ unique design that incorporates ridges on the ends.
Plus, the Triton is a Copilot+ PC, meaning it has the latest Windows AI features like real-time translations by Live Captions and on-device AI image generation. Typically, Copilot+ PCs are more geared towards general productivity, making the new Predator Helios unique given that it’s a gaming/content creation notebook.
Predator Helios Neo 14 AI: Gaming on the go
Next up, we have the Helios Neo 14, a gaming laptop with a 14.5-inch 16:10 OLED 2.8K WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800) display, as well as a up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285H and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with DLSS 4.
In this regard, the Helios Neo 14 should also be a powerful gaming partner, but what makes it special is its frame. The new Helios laptop is a light and thin gaming laptop, noticeably so compared to other gaming notebooks.
Slim gaming laptops are great and all, but cooling can be a concern, especially as gaming notebooks need lots of airflow to keep thermals manageable (and to lessen thermal throttling).
In this regard, the Helios Neo 14 AI promises to keep cool even when under heavy load thanks to its 5th Gen AeroBlade technology, liquid metal thermal grease on the CPU, a Vector Heat pipe, and Acer’s Vortex Flow system. With this combo, Acer promises that heat won’t be an issue while gaming.
Other features of this new Predator Helios model include a metal lid with a customizable RGB logo, as well as a dynamic three-zone RGB keyboard.
As for the AI in its name, while the Helios Neo 14 isn’t a Copilot+ PC, it still has AI features via Acer’s Experience Zone, including PurifiedVoice 2.0, PurifiedView 2.0, and Acer’s ProCam app (which automatically records gameplay highlights).
Bonus: Meet the Predator Helios Neo 16S Indiana Jones Edition

Also showcased at Acer’s Computex 2025 booth is the special Indiana Jones Edition Predator notebook.
To be exact, this Predator Helios Neo 16S features Indiana Jones and the Great Circle designs on the cover and the base panel. Given its design, the laptop promises to be a must-have for big Indiana Jones fans.

This is not the first time that Acer has done something with Indiana Jones. Before, Acer had a special promo with the game. As part of the promo, buyers of select GeForce RTX 40 Series-powered Acer desktops or laptops got a free copy of the latest Indiana Jones game.
Note that this promo is no longer available as it ended earlier this year.
While these are the stand-out laptops from Acer’s lineup, the brand also revealed other gaming notebooks at this year’s Computex. These include Helios Neo laptops with larger screens, among others.
