Garena Free Fire is getting a Squid Game collab this July

Free Fire's next collaboration is a bit of a surprise.

Garena recently announced that the next Free Fire collab is with Netflix’s mega-hit series, Squid Game – right on time for the show’s third and final season.

While a Squid Game crossover is a bit of a surprise, it’s not the most “out there” collab from the game. After all, while Free Fire has gotten crossover events with various popular anime and games, it has also teamed up with unlikely partners like the viral hippo, Moo Deng.

Given that Squid Game Season 3 (the show’s final season) is coming soon, it makes sense that Netflix wants to go all out with promoting it. Plus, this is also part of the 8th anniversary celebration of Free Fire.

While the show’s third season will premiere on June 27, this upcoming collab will only go live in July 2025.

As for what to expect, players can experience Free Fire version of the show’s memorable games, including Red Light, Green Light. Players can also expect various Squid Game outfits, accessories, and voicelines.

“We are thrilled to partner with Netflix once again — this time to bring the globally beloved Squid Game into Free Fire in a way that resonates with our battle royale-loving community,” said Harold Teo, Free Fire producer at Garena. “By reimagining Squid Game’s mysterious games and unique elements, we hope to create unforgettable moments as we celebrate eight amazing years with our players.”

More info on Free Fire’s Squid Game collab will be shared in the coming weeks.
