Aside from getting great reviews, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has also become a big hit, as it has sold 2 million copies in just one day.
This counts sales from all platforms during the launch day of the Black Flag remake. What’s more, the game also became the Top 1 title on Twitch during the launch day on July 9. Plus, it reached a peak of 99,451 concurrent players on Steam during its first 24 hours. This means Black Flag Resynced has gotten the highest concurrent player count for any Assassin’s Creed title on Steam.
What’s more, the game has also gotten some great reviews, with Black Flag Resynced currently sitting at an 85% review score on OpenCritic and an 84% review score on Metacritic. This is also another record for the franchise, as Resynced is now the highest-rated Assassin’s Creed game since original Black Flag.
In our review, we gave the game a score of 9.5/10, as it retains the beloved story and setting of the original game while adding fresh new content and smarter level design. As such, we called it the “definitive way to experience one of the best entries in the Assassin’s Creed series.”

Given the hype behind the remake, it comes as no surprise that Black Flag Resynced sold over 2 million units in just its first day. From the looks of it, this game’s sales figures will grow even more in the coming weeks given the game’s reception.
Thanks to its success, we won’t be surprised to see Ubisoft announce more Assassin’s Creed remakes in the future, especially as this franchise features plenty of beloved entries that are ripe for the remake treatment.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games, and the Ubisoft Store.
