DOOM: The Dark Ages Update 2 adds new skins, quality of life improvements, and more

DOOM: The Dark Ages players are in for a treat as Update 2 is now live, featuring new skins, quality of life enhancements, and more.

To be exact, this big free update not only adds new content, but it also features a wide array of bug fixes that should give a better demon-slaying experience. Perhaps the biggest addition in this update though, is the Ripatorium. Here, players can enjoy an endless arena mode, featuring customizable waves and time-limit challenges. As such, the Ripatorium should be a great addition for players who want to have a proper challenge.

As for the quality of life improvements, this update includes additional difficulty modifiers for a more fine-tuned experience, along with new gameplay slider for Parry & Melee Slow Motion, among others.

Players can also unlock two free, exclusive skins: Quakecon and Perfection. By playing DOOM: The Dark Ages between August 7 and September 1, players can receive the QuakeCon skin, while completing the three new arenas available in the Ripatorium to earn the Perfection DOOM Slayer skin.

To celebrate the update’s launch, DOOM: The Dark Ages has a 25% off promo. Of course, you can also get Game Pass as the game is available on the service.

Along with the free update, id Software and Nightdive Studios teamed up to launch Heretic + Hexen. This is a compilation of classic id Software games, featuring improved performance and an enhanced soundtrack. It also comes with online cross-platform, local split-screen deathmatch, co-op modes, in-game mod support, and more.
