SM North EDSA recently launched its “Northern Playcon” event, and it promsies to be a must-visit for gamers and tech-lovers in and around QC.
Over the past few months, we’ve seen SM North host anime and collectibles events at The Block. Now, the latest event at the mall is a bit different as it’s catered towards gamers and techies.
Fittingly, this event is made in collaboration with SM Cyberzone. Called the “Northern Playcon,” this event features popular stores and brands such as PC Express, PLDT, Nintendo, Honor of Kings, PUBG, Tecno, Republic of Gamers, DataBlitz, SteelSeries, EVNIA, AGON, Smart, Pilipinas Live, and Bandai Gashapon.
At the event, visitors can check out various booths and installations to test out the latest games and gaming tech. What’s more, visitors can also participate in various fun activities throughout the event duration.
At the middle of the event space though is an eye-catching tournament setup. That’s because one of the highlights here is the “Northern Playoffs,” featuring various tournaments that visitors can watch via the large LED displays that flank the middle area.
“Northern Playcon” also features a “Gamers’ Round Table,” a safe space for players, creators, and insiders to connect with each other. If that’s not enough there’s also a free-play area for friends or for solo gaming.
