Tencent Games had a big gamescom 2025 as the publisher had a bunch of big updates and booths for its upcoming titles.
As with the previous gamescom events of recent years, the 2025 version kicked off with Opening Night Live, Geoff Keighley’s showcase of new game trailers and reveals. There, Tencent Games had quite the presence, with trailers for its upcoming titles like Fate Trigger, Honor of Kings: World, and Project Spectrum being shared.
After the event, gamescom 2025 proper finally began on August 20, and on the show floor, attendees were able to visit an array of big booths from Tencent’s titles. These booths include:
- Honor of Kings: World – The upcoming open-world action RPG got a big booth at gamescom, featuring eye-catching photo spots and a big demo area for players to try the game out.
- Fate Trigger – This anime-style hero shooter also got a big booth at the event, and it had plenty of PCs set up for attendees to give the game a try.
- Interstellar Utopia – Another upcoming game with a big demo area at the event is Interstellar Utopia. For those unfamiliar, this cross-platform sandbox adventure lets players play as Cyborgs, with their goal being to explore various star systems.
- PUBG MOBILE – At the PUBG Mobile booth, fans were able to get a sneak peek at version 4.0’s Spooky Soiree theme. Plus, the game’s new “UNFAIL” asymmetric PvP mode was also unveiled at the event.
- Rust Mobile – Another mobile title that got the spotlight at gamescom is Rust Mobile, as its booth featured the first-ever global hands-on demos for the game.
- Terminull Brigade – While the game was already launched ahead of gamescom, Terminull Brigade still got a sizeable booth where attendees were able to try out this new fast-paced co-op rogue-like shooter.
Aside from the show floor, Tencent Games also had a big presence at the event’s business area. There, members of the press got to try out various games. We even got to try a meaty Honor of Kings: World Hands-on during this year’s gamescom.
Tencent also participated in some interesting talks, including the “Playing for the Planet” panel where PUBG MOBILE producer Rick Li shared tips on how to reduce upstream emissions in development. Other panels include “The Invisible War Against Mobile Game Cheats – A Global Defense Perspective” by Yue Wang, Director of Anti-Cheat Operations; as well as “Smoke and Echoes: Sound Narrative in Delta Force: Black Hawk Down” session featuring Merle Chen, Audio Lead, Shuai Zhen, Sound Designer and Luke Wang, Audio Designer at Tencent Games.

Finally Tencent Games debuted VISVISE, its AI-powered game creation solution. This tech promises to streamline 3D game animation pipelines, and it was also shown off during the “AI Redefining Animation Production – End-to-end Innovation in Character Animation” session.
With its mix of consumer and business activities, Tencent Games definitely had a big gamescom 2025. Following the various demos though, we hope to see the publisher’s upcoming games finally get more info such as release dates very soon.
