After its Japanese premiere was announced, Columbia Pictures confirmed that the Chainsaw Man movie is coming to cinemas in the Philippines.
To be exact, Columbia Pictures Philippines announced on Monday that Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will get a cinema release in the country via its official Facebook page. The initial announcement did not come with a release date in the Philippines.
Also announced that day was the film’s global release on October 29 by Sony Pictures. While Columbia Pictures PH did not reveal the premiere date, the anime’s official X account confirmed the film’s release date in over 80 countries.
Currently, it’s confirmed that the Chainsaw Man film will be released in the Philippines on September 24, 2025 – just one week after its Japanese release.

Looking back a couple of years, anime fans had to wait months for an anime film to be released outside Japan. There were even times that anime movie theatrical runs don’t happen at all.
As such, the fact that the Chainsaw Man film’s PH cinema release being just a week after its Japanese premiere is a big indication not only of the series’ popularity, but also how big anime has gotten internationally over the past few years.
For now, there’s no official cinema list yet for the Chainsaw Man movie in the Philippines, though fans will at least be happy to know that it will be released on September 24.
[UPDATE 09/13: The film’s PH release has been updated to September 24.]
